Why don't you try... taking a photo of something you want to sit & sketch & start working from it... then continue on by looking at the actual scene, just use the photo to start you off? Then the next time, use it less. Then try 'live'. Might work. This is something I ...These sketches are wonderful. This is something I really want to be able to do. For whatever reason I have some kind of artistic block about sketching. I can draw when I sit down with my reference image or still life arrangement, but to do these quick spontaneous life sketches brings me fear.
